Socrates once said, "True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing" or some variation. If that's true, then Obama's knowledge transcends his own urban legend because apparently, he doesn't know a damn thing.
Look, I'm an Obama supporter. I wouldn't go as far to say I'm an apologist, but I do think he's faced unprecedented levels of obstruction and disdain. As such, I typically try to give more leeway than others. But damn Mr. President, you sure are making it hard for your supporters. I mean there's "plausible deniablity" and then there's something similar to what Bill Cosby referred to as "brain damage."
Mr. Obama's latest "ignorance defense" dealing involving his signature legislation's website is the proverbial straw on the camels back. Alone, I could support Mr. Obama's position about being unaware. Working with the federal government's websites on a daily basis, I can tell you first hand that Mr. Obama doesn't have the time nor inclination to keep up with the day-to-day operations of every agency under his charge.
But when you start to line up all the thing the White House "didn't know," then it becomes increasingly clear that either President Obama is grossly under-informed about some of the MAJOR things going on within his government, or recklessly performing the duties of the Commander and Chief.
For those keeping score, here's what I have so far (in no particular order):
Mr. President, it's becoming clear that "you don't know JACK!"
"What is it you'd say you do here?"
I'm not sure which is worse: that the President of the United States is unaware of some of the most important events in recent history, or that THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS UNAWARE OF SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS IN RECENT HISTORY!!!
Don't get me wrong, there is certainly something to be said for the president not getting involved with law enforcement, tax collecting, and policy implementation of federal agencies. To be successful, federal agencies must (at the very least) have the appearance of being non-political (unlike our colleagues in the Judicial branch *cough* Scalia *cough*) so the public knows the agency is there to support them, NOT political operatives.
If this is a strategy Mr. President, I certainly hope you consider adding other tools to your war chest. Because right now, it sorta looks like you went from playing chess to, well..., just playing. I mean, we all knew President Bush was unaware, but he was smart enough to not say that shit...out loud... in public. You do realize we can hear you, don't you? Hell, he was "The Decider!"
I don't know if the "I don't know" strategy will work or not, but it sure doesn't look good.
Side note: I can't help but adding a theme song to this situation... Maybe replace "Scotty" with "Obama."

For those keeping score, here's what I have so far (in no particular order):
- President Obama didn't know about the Benghazi consulate and Tripoli embassy's requestsfor more security.
- Didn't know someone was blocking key witnesses from testifying before congress on Benghazi.
- Oblivious to IRS agents (supposedly) politically targeting Tea Party groups for extra scrutiny.
- "Certainly I was not aware"of the ATF's gun-walking controversy known as Fast and Furious.
- Had"no knowledge" of any attempt by the Justice Department to seek phone records of AP reporters.
- Learned about the investigation into the emails of former CIA Director Patraeus through the media.
- Unaware of NSA spying on foreign allies.

Is ignorance a good defense for the President of the United States?
SHOULD he have known... SOMETHING?
Does it change how you feel about Mr. Obama?
Would you feel the same way if it was President Bush who was unaware?
